![]() LCHS Cheerleading Tryouts for 2012 - 2013 are fast approaching! This year, with the addition of a Freshman squad, 30 cheerleaders will be selected (10 on the Freshman squad, 10 on the JV squad, 10 on the Varsity squad). Tryout packets will be available on Tuesday, February 21 in the High School and both middle school main offices. There will be a mandatory parent and candidate meeting on Monday, February 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the PAC, and all tryout packets are due on Wednesday, February 29 at 4:00 p.m. in the High School main office. A mandatory clinic will be held on Thursday, March 1, Friday, March 2, and Monday, March 5. Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, March 6 at 4:00 p.m. at the High School. The Class of 2013 is currently selling Pirate Stencil paintings. These can go on any home surface such as driveway, patios, curbs, etc. Cost is $25. Order forms are available in the high school office or may be requested by emailing Rick Ruble at rmruble@me.com. For more information contact Rick @ 806-548-1217. Deadline to order your stencil painting is March 31st.
BRING YOUR OLD CELL PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The Class of 2013 is collecting used cell phones and any other small electronics devices beginning the first of February. Collection boxes will be available at each Lubbock-Cooper campus in the offices except at the North campus. If you have any questions please contact Leslie Hill @ LHill@lcisd.net.

![]() Lubbock-Cooper ISD is launching a mobile site where parents, employees, students, and community members can use their smart phones to keep up with district FAQs, notifications, alerts, and basic information. On occasion, subscribers to the mobile site will also receive text messages notifying them of district-wide alerts (this is in addition to SchoolMessenger notifications). The site can be accessed by texting PIRATES to the number 70720. The response will include a link to the mobile site and directions for accessing help and stopping further messages from the mobile site. This is a great way to keep Lubbock-Cooper news at your fingertips! |

Congratulations to all three boys teams on their victories over Brownfield this past Tuesday. They will host Levelland this Friday the 27th. Freshmen will play at 6:30pm, JV will play at 5:00pm and the Varsity will play at 8:00pm. LADY PIRATE BASKETBALL
